Following feedback from patients, and their request for ‘on the day’ appointments, from the 1st July we are starting a new all day access service. Our reception team will ask some brief questions to navigate you to the correct service. If you feel you need to see a GP you will be offered a telephone consultation with the access doctor. Your name will be added to a list, and a GP will ring you to triage your query, give you advice, or book you a face to face appointment on that day. This will avoid long periods of holding on the phone to speak to a GP and hopefully improves access for our patients.
You can also access GP appointments via our website.
We are also offering a 2 new services on a trial which will be online starting on 1st July:
- “Ask a GP a question” which lets you ask your question and a reply will be given by the access GP within 24 working hours.
- “e-consult” ask you a series of questions which will give you some advice, or direct you to the appropriate service i.e. GP, Nurse, or the Pharmacy.
